Job Description

Job Title:                            Finance Manager 

Reports to:                         Finance Director

Hours of work:                   40 hours per week

Salary:                                £35K - £40K

Job Summary/Purpose

 

The Finance Manager will be overseeing our existing team and working to assist in all accounting and finance aspects of the business. Duties include managing cash, billing, credit control and working directly with our finance director on accounting, budgeting, supplier relations and forecasting.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working with the accounts team to ensure all accounting aspects are kept up to date
  • Ensuring all billing is being processed on a weekly basis and ensuring credit control is closely monitored as per guidelines
  • Adjusting processes in relation to cash reconciliations and invoicing processing where needed.
  • Working with suppliers on any issues with invoices, credits and adjustments that will need to be made
  • Ensuring monthly MI is completed in a timely manner and reporting to the Finance Director

Qualifications

  • Strong academics – Accounts Degree
  • Strong technical skills
  • Post-qualification experience in a similar financial planning role (Retail industry a distinct advantage)
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to focus on the key issues
  • Strategic perspective - understanding of the wider issues impacting corporate performance
  • Advanced excel modelling skills
