Category Controller what?
Having complete ownership of your product categories to be delivered and executed within 20+ Greens locations throughout Scotland. Being part of an exciting rapid growth journey, you will work with national brands as well as seek local suppliers (hidden gems with exceptional products).
You will work closely with the Head of Trading, Supplier Relationship Manager and our fantastic Store Managers to create a range of products meeting the needs of our customers whilst maintaining target margins including by analysis and interpretation of historical sales data and trends.
Whilst you will be based at Head Office in Kirkcaldy (where the magic happens), you will be super keen to get out to store visits as well as meeting suppliers throughout the UK.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the trading objectives and targets
- Proactively monitor both category and individual SKU performance across the estate
- Support promotional strategies in accordance with supplier JBP's
- Create enhanced margin opportunities through promotional activities and sourcing products
- Maintaining the price file by ensuring the file is kept up to date by ensuring any price or supplier changes are actioned efficiently, correct stock procedures are followed
- Create planograms and POS and liaise with the operations team to ensure implantation in store.
- Liaise with wider business departments when required
