Overview:
Are you passionate about food and eager to learn a skilled trade? This is a fantastic
opportunity to start your career as an Apprentice Butcher at our highly-regarded Greens of
Ellon store. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team and
learn the craft of butchery from the ground up.

community. As an Apprentice Butcher, you will be an essential part of our team, learning the
traditions and techniques that set our butchery department apart.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a hands-on learning role where you will receive full training and support. Your
responsibilities will grow as you develop your skills, and will include:
- Assisting our skilled butchers with meat preparation and cutting.
- Learning about different cuts of meat and how to prepare them for sale.
- Providing excellent customer service, including offering advice and recommendations on products.
- Ensuring the butchery area is clean, tidy, and maintained to the highest hygiene standards.
- Assisting with inventory and stock management.
- Working as part of a team to ensure all daily tasks are completed efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills:
- No previous experience is required—we are looking for someone with the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
- A keen interest in food and the butchery trade.
- A strong work ethic and a desire to develop new skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and a great team player.
- The ability to follow instructions and a strong attention to detail.
